
Chief Growth Strategist

This role involves creating and delivering comprehensive business plans to achieve strategic goals. Building and maintaining strong relationships with the Commercial Team is crucial in this position.
- Create and implement joint business strategies to drive category growth and improve customer satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with the Commercial Team.
- Manage day-to-day customer requirements, ensuring timely delivery of internal and external commitments.
- Develop and execute promotional processes and marketing activities to drive sales and revenue growth.
Financial Acumen:
- Support the Head of National Chains in setting clear sales objectives and performance metrics.
- Implement robust financial management routines to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Proactively manage the General Manager's P&L through insight-led trading decisions.
- Possess a deep understanding of category profitability and identify opportunities for growth.
- Analyze sales performance data to identify drivers and drainers of sales growth and opportunities to enhance customer service.
- Continuously seek opportunities to accelerate or address underperformance.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Monitor and report on key business metrics, including sales growth, market share, and customer satisfaction.
- Track the performance of promotional programs and make adjustments as needed.
- Monitor sales accounting and demand planning to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Support the growth and development of the field team.
- Conduct regular range reviews and category deep dives to inform business decisions.
- Attend customer meetings and team meetings to build relationships and discuss business opportunities.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the competition.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently with strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Current driver's license.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to present confidently to internal and external stakeholders.
