The Role and Its Benefits
We seek an Emotional Support Coordinator for our No One Dies Alone (NODAC) program, which offers emotional and holistic support to residents nearing the end of life. This award-winning initiative provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As a NODAC On-Call Support Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating after-hours on-call support, scheduling volunteers, and liaising with staff and volunteers. This role involves working from home on Fridays, weekends, and public holidays, making it an excellent option for those seeking flexibility.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Coordinate and manage NODAC vigil rosters, ensuring seamless communication between stakeholders.
- Partner with key personnel to facilitate the provision of vigils, fostering strong relationships and effective partnerships.
- Liaise with Service Managers and clinical team members to initiate and communicate requests for vigils promptly and reliably.
- Schedule volunteers to provide vigils to NODAC residents at the end of their life.
About You
We are looking for an individual with advanced-level communication and interpersonal skills, who can effectively engage with various stakeholders. Experience in administrative roles, particularly in rostering and scheduling tasks, is highly desirable. You should possess excellent attention to detail, intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to learn new systems quickly. A sound understanding of palliative care and the ability to work independently are also essential.
Essential Criteria
- Evidence of COVID-19 and current flu vaccinations, as per Amana Living policies.
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance within six months' validity.
- Successful completion of pre-employment forms and reference checks.
- Experience working with and managing volunteers, preferably in the aged care sector.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
