About this role:

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the commissioning of various renewable projects through to full output operation. The successful candidate will work closely with Transmission Network Service Providers (TNSPs) and Distribution Network Service Providers (DNSPs) across the National Electricity Market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commission renewable projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to performance standards.
  • Validate R2 models and drive close-out processes to ensure accurate representation of power system dynamics.
  • Collaborate with clients to strengthen AEMO's technical expertise, resolving project issues through constructive problem-solving.
  • Provide expert technical advice on performance standard assessment, power system stability, and system strength remediation.
  • Support regulatory changes facilitating large-scale renewable energy integration into the Australian electricity market.
Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Strong technical knowledge of power system dynamics, including performance standard assessment and system strength remediation.
  • Experience working with renewable energy projects, transmission, and distribution networks.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • A high degree of autonomy and self-motivation, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
