Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to carry out maintenance tasks in the underground area. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on UG and in-pit dewatering pumping systems, compressors, primary ventilation, refuge chambers, and fixed plant assets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular maintenance of underground and surface equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently, adhering to company values and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the multi-skilled workforce to achieve goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • A relevant Mechanical trade qualification with proven fitting experience.
  • Experience in maintaining pumping and ventilation systems or heavy industrial plants, preferably with mining industry experience.
  • Possession of high-risk licenses such as mobile crane operation, dogging, rigging, elevated work platform operation, and forklift operation is highly regarded.
  • Current confined space entry and working at heights certificate.
  • C Class Drivers License.
  • Existing working rights in Australia (mandatory).
