About the Role

Peak Services, a leading professional services company focused on local government, is seeking experienced Contract Trainers to deliver training programs in project management and asset management to the local government sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate face-to-face and virtual learning programs for local government officers
  • Update and maintain learning materials as required
  • Provide support to learners throughout the duration of the program
  • Mark assessments for accredited courses against each competency unit's elements and performance criteria
  • Assist with development of assessment tools, including mapping of units of competency and RPL kits
  • Participate in validation meetings
  • Contribute to Peak's continuous improvement process
  • Undertake intrastate travel to regional and remote centers, as required
  • Adhere to Peak's administrative procedures and respond to all requests in a timely manner
Requirements
  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its equivalent
  • BSB50820 – Diploma of Project Management
  • Tertiary qualifications - Bachelor's Degree or above
  • Current experience in delivery of project management and asset management training courses
  • Assessment experience for accredited courses
  • Training experience (minimum 5 years)
  • Experience in working in project management roles in local government
  • Experience in working in asset management in local government
  • Experience within indigenous communities
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and effective communication skills to interact effectively with people at all levels
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience using virtual conferencing tools, such as Zoom or MS Teams

Peak Services offers a competitive daily rate for this contract position. Contractors are required to maintain their own professional indemnity and public liability insurance and provide certificates of currency. A formal induction will be provided to the successful candidates.
