About This Role

This position involves coordinating responses and providing strategic advice to internal and external oversight bodies.

The team fosters partnerships across the oversight and advocacy sector to support transparent, accountable youth detention services.

Key activities include responding to formal requests, tracking recommendations, and supporting governance and reform initiatives.

  • Coordinate and contribute to the development and implementation of strategic projects and initiatives related to youth detention reform and oversight.
  • Undertake research and analysis of operational issues, including oversight recommendations, and work with relevant internal business areas to develop evidence-based solutions.
  • Prepare high-quality written materials including reports, briefings, and responses to oversight bodies.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure collaborative approaches to reform and effective communication of project objectives.
