Disability Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team.

  • This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to clients with various disabilities, including those with complex needs.

You will work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans and restrictive practice policies.

Your duties will include:

  • Engaging in activities such as mall outings and shopping with clients
  • BUILDING rapport with independent, outgoing clients
  • Managing mental health respectfully and adapting plans to client needs
  • Working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Using own vehicle and driver's licence
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • Demonstrated experience providing support to participants with highly complex needs
  • Understanding of Behaviour Support Plan and restrictive practice policies
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability Care or similar qualification
  • Current first aid certificate
  • NDIS Worker Check
  • Current Police Check (acquired in the past 6 months)
  • Working With Children Check
  • NDIS Orientation Module
