Job Summary

A highly skilled professional is sought after to lead a dynamic compositing team. As the Head of Compositing, you will oversee the development and implementation of consistent workflows within your department, ensuring that the right tools and technology are utilized to deliver exceptional results.

About the Position

You will be accountable for driving process improvements and defining approaches to maximize efficiency across show teams. Furthermore, you will design and establish standards for the compositing pipeline to guarantee the delivery of high-quality work in an optimized manner.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and support standardized workflows in the compositing department
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define workflow optimization strategies
  • Design and implement industry-leading standards for the compositing pipeline
  • Foster open communication with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency
  • Supervise and develop the compositing team, including performance management and talent growth initiatives
Requirements
  • Deep expertise in compositing techniques for high-end visual effects productions
  • Extensive experience in the VFX industry, with a focus on leadership roles
  • Solid understanding of software applications such as Nuke, Houdini, and relevant lighting and rendering tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive process improvements
  • Experience in project management, prioritization, and task delegation
  • Ability to coach and mentor artists in new techniques and best practices
