This Senior Solution Architect position is a key member of our Platform team, responsible for developing and implementing cloud solutions. Your expertise will drive strategic decisions around technology roadmaps and future-proofing our systems. As a leader in architecture, you will create quality documentation, provide training, and ensure seamless onboarding processes.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing group leadership in architecture, design patterns, and best practices to support business system implementation across various software and infrastructure platforms.
- Evolving group standards and best practices through high-quality documentation tailored for both technical and business stakeholders.
- Collaborating directly with solution delivery teams to offer guidance on architecture, focusing on utilizing group standards to achieve business outcomes.
- Designing holistic solutions encompassing public and private clouds.
- Conducting research on new technologies, conducting special studies, and developing proof-of-concepts to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the solution delivery and innovation teams.
- Ensuring solutions are manageable and maintainable, supporting operational requirements.
- Providing leadership, management, and mentoring when required to achieve project outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Developed skills in business, process, and operations analysis, systems testing, documentation, and progressing understanding of systems operations and applications.
- Extensive experience as a Solution Architect in a senior technical leadership position within a medium to large commercial environment.
- Substantial cloud architecting experience, delivering high-performing business solutions, preferably on Azure.
- Proven experience in defining enterprise architecture standards and developing technical documentation.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, having implemented it successfully in a greenfield project or a monolith migration.
We are located in Australia and are offering a competitive salary between AU$140,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience. This figure may vary based on individual circumstances.
