Electrical Project Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced electrical project engineer to join our team in the procurement and delivery of a major defence project. Your day-to-day tasks will involve reviewing electrical designs, preparing project scope statements, coordinating adjustments to ensure alignment with project requirements, overseeing procurement processes, ensuring timely delivery and quality of electrical components and materials during the construction phase, managing quality assurance for all electrical systems, conducting regular inspections to maintain high standards and compliance, collaborating closely with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve design and construction challenges, monitoring project timelines, budget allocations, and resource use to meet project milestones efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review of electrical designs, preparation of project scope, and coordinate adjustments to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Oversee procurement processes, ensuring timely delivery and quality of electrical components and materials during the construction phase.
  • Manage quality assurance for all electrical systems, conducting regular inspections to maintain high standards and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve design and construction challenges.
  • Monitor project timelines, budget allocations, and resource use to meet project milestones efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction projects, focusing on electrical building services engineering.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design, procurement, construction processes, and commissioning procedures.
  • Skilled in supplier and subcontractor management.
  • Familiarity with Australian standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
