Job Title: Foster Care Intake Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Placement Support: Collaborate with approved carers to ensure prompt and appropriate placements for children referred by Child Safety Services.
  • Placement Management: Maintain the Placement Register, ensuring 100% compliance with licensing and documentation standards.
  • Caseload Management: Support a small caseload of foster carers, providing individualized support based on assessment.
  • Community Engagement: Build strong partnerships with Child Safety and community agencies, contributing to events and activities that strengthen connections for children and carers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualification: Certificate IV level or higher in Community Services (Child Protection) or Mental Health.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
