About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Risk and Compliance Manager to join our team at Colonial First State. As a key member of our Technology Line 1 Risk Team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Wrap business and contributing to the CFS Wrap Technology Extended Management Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a positive risk culture across our stakeholders, ensuring that risk management is embedded in all aspects of our business.
- Maintain strong professional expertise in risk management approaches, including identifying and assessing technology, cyber, and data risks.
- Assess and report on key themes in line with the CFS Risk Management Framework, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Gather and analyze risk reports, identifying trends and opportunities for growth.
- Manage the remediation of issues and incidents, working closely with business stakeholders and internal teams.
- Undertake reviews of control testing to ensure that controls are effectively managing risks and compliance obligations.
- Design and implement effective controls for new and changing processes, working with stakeholders to understand the impact on our risk profile.
- Represent Technology Risk on the Wrap Transformation Program, providing technology risk advice and leading control self-assessments.
- Assist with supplier risk assessments, including technology risk assessments and monitoring of supplier processes.
- Ensure that risk data and information is accurate and up-to-date, providing regular reporting to stakeholders.
- Prepare information packs for monthly forums, ensuring that stakeholders understand and manage risks within our technology team.
- Provide technology risk advice to the business, identifying emerging trends and opportunities for growth.
About You
- 2+ years of experience working in the financial services industry.
- 4+ years of experience in technology risk management, with a strong understanding of risk and control environments.
- Autonomous and able to escalate issues where necessary.
- Ability to support and manage a large and varied stakeholder group at all levels of seniority.
- Advanced understanding and implementation of risk management frameworks, controls, and Agile delivery.
- Understanding of risk management frameworks and relevant certifications.
- Ability to analyze trends, identify critical threats and opportunities, and recommend appropriate actions.
- Passion for technology and technology risk, with a commitment to staying up-to-date on the latest emerging industry trends.
- Understanding of ITIL service management processes.
- Expert advisory capability.
- Domain knowledge of technology risk engagement and advisory practices.
- Proven ability to drive transformational change and negotiate commercial outcomes.
- Knowledge of industry and global operations best practices.
- Ability to interpret complex subjects and recommend simple choices.
