Policy Manager

Our team is seeking an experienced policy professional to lead project management initiatives and conduct a thorough review of legislation in critical areas that impact the lives of Queenslanders.
Key Responsibilities- Lead project management activities for systemic review projects, ensuring timely achievement of quality outputs that meet strategic objectives.
- Conduct research and analysis on complex policy and legislative problems affecting victims of crime.
- Develop options and formulate advice and proposals, including drafting recommendations for government agencies.
- Engage with diverse stakeholders, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders on matters affecting victims of crime.
- Prepare discussion papers, briefs, reports, correspondence, and other documentation for various audiences.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop accessible resources and information relating to the department's work.
- Contribute to building a positive shared culture across the department, providing guidance and support to less experienced officers.
This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements- Mid-Senior level experience in policy development and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of legislation and policy frameworks.
