Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Team Lead to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge defence technology.

This exciting opportunity will allow you to take on a leadership role, overseeing the design, development, and test of various hardware products. You will be responsible for managing product teams against technical, schedule, and cost goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning, allocation, and deployment of team members and workload.
  • Derive product requirements, define test requirements, and participate in associated design reviews.
  • Work with production teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Test products and analyze data to identify optimal solutions.
  • Develop finalised product detail designs and present them in design reviews.
  • Manage and report on team work programmes, including risk analysis.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience satisfying Institute of Engineers Australia membership requirements.
  • Significant experience within the hardware engineering discipline.
  • Experience in developing electronic/electrical equipment designs, participating in design reviews, and undertaking typical design analyses.
  • Team leadership experience with coaching, developing, and inspiring technical teams.
  • Familiarity with control/cost account management and project scheduling.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders to generate business benefits while maintaining key relationships.
