Infrastructure Planning and Scheduling Specialist

This dynamic role involves leading the development and embedding of cutting-edge planning and scheduling functions for infrastructure projects across the state.

You will be the single source of truth for delivery and sequencing of planned infrastructure activities, from minor capital works to major maintenance programs.

Key Challenges & Opportunities
  • Portfolio Management: Develop and maintain a master schedule for a large portfolio of works with shifting priorities.
  • Schedule Collaboration: Work with project and maintenance teams to build a schedule with easy data extraction and reporting.
  • Strategic Alignment: Depict short-medium-long term activity views to inform sequencing, resourcing, and priorities for Command, Ops teams, and Exec.
  • Efficiency Optimisation: Identify critical paths, inter-dependencies, and efficiency opportunities to boost resourcing and procurement.
Requirements
  • Infrastructure Expertise: Heavy-hitting experience in infrastructure construction and maintenance planning in multi-site environments.
  • Software Mastery: Proficiency in program planning software for master and sub-project plans, including critical path analysis.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Technical Literacy: High computer and MS Office literacy, as well as strong written/presentation/verbal skills for collaboration up to Exec levels.
  • Leadership: Proven senior leader and self-starter who collaborates confidently with internal/external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Master Planning: Develop Infrastructure Master Plans and Schedules for works packages.
  • Critical Path Analysis: Review activities/priorities for critical paths and efficiencies.
  • Progress Tracking: Track progress, identify trends, and maintain Command's 'single point of truth' schedule.
  • Schedule Governance: Embed schedule governance frameworks and manage templates/documents.
  • Financial Integration: Incorporate project financial/cost control into master schedules.
