This opportunity presents a unique chance to work in an autonomous role with significant responsibility within a prestigious corporate law firm's Employment & Industrial Relations practice in Sydney.
The position is suitable for an intermediate level lawyer with experience in employment law, seeking a challenging and dynamic environment where they can apply their skills and knowledge to drive business results.
Key Responsibilities- Litigation matters including breach of contract, consumer law, general protections, underpayment claims, unfair dismissal claims, and equity-related cases.
- Drafting of Australian employment contracts and policies, including equity and non-equity compensation plans, to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Providing expert advice on statutory entitlements, industrial instruments, termination of employment, redundancy, restraints, and transfer of business issues, to support the firm's clients in navigating complex employment law landscape.
- Collaborating with employees and trade unions to negotiate enterprise agreements that meet the needs of both parties.
- Working collaboratively with other offices from time to time to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- A qualified solicitor with 2 to 4 years' proven experience in employment law from a recognized practice, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
