Payroll Operations Specialist

We are seeking a detail-driven and experienced payroll professional to support our organisation’s payroll operations. This role is all about maintaining smooth payroll processes while enabling the team to focus on process improvements and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain end-to-end payroll processing using Chris21.
- Onboard new employees and process employee terminations.
- Respond to queries in the payroll inbox.
- Ensure compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and legislation.
- Support the team during periods of leave.
- Contribute to process improvements by taking on key operational tasks.
- Hands-on experience with Chris21 (essential).
- Previous payroll experience in a medium to large organisation.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- The ability to interpret and apply awards, agreements, and legislation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills – approachable and responsive.
- A collaborative, team-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
