Cardiac Care Specialist Job Overview

This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves providing high-quality patient care in the Coronary Care Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor patients' cardiovascular status to identify potential issues and take corrective action
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations such as arrhythmias or cardiac arrest, using advanced cardiac monitoring skills
  • Educate patients and their families about heart disease management and prevention strategies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized patient care plans
  • Provide post-procedure care for patients recovering from cardiac interventions
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse authorization to practise by AHPRA
  • Understanding of transfer of care and patient flow principles to optimize patient outcomes
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, promoting open communication and collaboration
  • Demonstrated exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with patients and colleagues
  • Recent experience or interest in Coronary Care/Cardiology to stay up-to-date with latest developments
