About this role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Coronary Care Unit. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of individualized patient care plans.

Key responsibilities
  • Monitor and assess patients' cardiovascular status, responding promptly to emergency situations such as arrhythmias or cardiac arrest.
  • Possess skills for advanced cardiac monitoring and educate patients and their families about heart disease management and prevention.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring seamless transitions of care.
  • Provide post-procedure care for patients recovering from cardiac interventions, promoting optimal recovery outcomes.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse authorized to practise by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Understanding of transfer of care and patient flow principles, with ability to apply them to improve patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, as well as unsupervised during high periods of demand and activity.
  • Demonstrated communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Recent experience or interest in Coronary Care/Cardiology, with commitment to ongoing professional development.
