Vehicle Painter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in surface preparation, colour matching, and the application of high-quality paint finishes.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work as a Vehicle Painter. The role involves preparing truck surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming to ensure proper paint adhesion.

  • Mix and colour-match paint to manufacturer specifications or customer requirements using digital or manual methods.
  • Apply primers, basecoats, and topcoats using spray-painting equipment in accordance with job specifications.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for defects and perform touch-ups, blending, and polishing as required.
  • Operate and maintain spray booths, drying ovens, and paint-mixing tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including regular maintenance of tools and spray equipment.
  • Follow WHS protocols, handle hazardous materials safely, and wear appropriate protective equipment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure timely completion of work to quality standards.
  • Accurately interpret job cards, technical instructions, and colour codes to perform assigned tasks.

  • Relevant experience in a similar role as Vehicle Painter
  • Knowledge of painting techniques and materials
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time
