Heavy Diesel Fitters play a vital role in the success of underground mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform servicing and breakdown repairs on heavy mining equipment, including drill rigs and other machinery.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and defect repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults to identify and rectify issues efficiently.
  • Accurately scope jobs and guarantee quality repairs to meet industry standards.
  • Contribute to general workshop duties and maintain a safe and organized workspace.
  • Comply with strict site safety protocols to protect yourself and others.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Trade Qualification in Diesel, Plant, or Heavy Automotive (Cert III - Mobile Plant Technology) or equivalent.
  • Possess at least 2 years' experience in mining, construction, civil, or heavy machinery maintenance.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude.
  • Hold an Australian Manual Driver's License and Full Australian Working Rights.
