
Heavy Equipment and Crane Field Service Specialist

Job Summary:
- We are seeking a skilled Field Service Professional to join our team in providing expert technical assistance and repair services for heavy equipment and cranes.
Key Responsibilities:
- This role requires the ability to respond promptly to field breakdowns and perform timely repairs on cranes, ensuring minimal downtime for our customers.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed service reports is crucial, which will be submitted upon completion of each repair.
- The successful candidate will provide valuable feedback on component failures, helping us improve our products and services.
- In addition, they will train distributors on the commissioning of new products, enhancing our distribution network's capabilities.
- This position also involves analyzing and troubleshooting warranty issues that fall beyond the scope of our distributors or customers.
- Effective communication with MCG personnel regarding service materials, product requirements, availability, and code compliance is essential.
- The Field Service Professional will plan and coordinate activities to investigate and resolve customer reports of technical problems, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in customer service.
- Moreover, they will analyze reports of technical problems to identify trends affecting future design, production, service, and maintenance processes, driving business growth and improvement.
- This role may also involve performing ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- A High School diploma with 5+ years of experience in technical service and support, preferably in the crane industry or heavy equipment industry.
- OEM or dealer experience in heavy equipment/Crane background is advantageous.
- Specialist training in the crane industry or Manitowoc Cranes is beneficial.
- A Trade certificate in Mechanical or Electrical trades with high automotive and Canbus electrical diagnostic skills is required.
- Fault finding and diagnostic skills in Electrical, hydraulic, engine, drive-line, braking, and general maintenance and repairs in Heavy equipment or LBCC and Mobile Cranes are necessary.
- The ability to read and work with electronic and hydraulic schematics is vital.
