The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Industrial Relations Specialist to join our team in North Ryde head office. This is a full-time position that requires strong critical thinking skills, practical experience in complex matrix organisations, and in-depth knowledge of employment relations legislation and frameworks.
About the Role- Manage moderate to highly complex industrial relations and employee relations-related matters and investigations, including performance management, formal investigations, employee complaints, and attending commission hearings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current Employment Relations frameworks, legislation, precedents, and practice to identify and escalate potential impacts, opportunities, and risks.
- Support negotiations for our new Enterprise Agreement and provide employment relations advice on other matters.
- You will need to have industrial relations experience as a lawyer in practice or in-house, or in a dedicated IR/ER leadership position.
- In-depth knowledge of employment relations legislation and frameworks, contemporary practice, stakeholder management, influencing capability, and the ability to build strong relationships across multiple stakeholders and levels in an organisation.
- Strong critical thinking skills with practical experience in complex matrix organisations, experience in complex industrial environments, case management, and dispute resolution.

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Industrial relations experience as a lawyer in practice or in-house, or in a dedicated IR/ER leadership position.
- In-depth knowledge of employment relations legislation and frameworks, contemporary practice, stakeholder management, influencing capability, and the ability to build strong relationships across multiple stakeholders and levels in an organisation.
- Strong critical thinking skills with practical experience in complex matrix organisations, experience in complex industrial environments, case management, and dispute resolution.
