**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Licensed Customs Broker to join our dynamic team. As the primary point of contact for all customs-related matters, you will ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all customs-related matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Prepare and submit customs documentation, including import/export declarations, tariff classifications, and duty calculations.
  • Liaise with government agencies, freight forwarders, and ocean carriers to facilitate the clearance of goods in a timely manner.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on customs procedures, regulations, and requirements.
  • Monitor changes in customs legislation and policies and implement necessary updates to internal processes and procedures.
  • Resolve customs-related issues and discrepancies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to find effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of customs activities and transactions, ensuring compliance with record-keeping requirements.

**Requirements**

  • Licensed Customs Broker accreditation is essential.
  • Proven experience in customs clearance and compliance within the retail or logistics industry.
  • Sound knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex customs documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in relevant customs software and systems (Cargowise preferred)
