Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our import/export operations, you will be responsible for executing import and export activities in accordance with PPD requirements, client requirements, and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute import and export activities in accordance with PPD requirements, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Develop and implement import and export trade compliance plans for each project assigned.
  • Perform logistics and administrative activities as needed to support the growth of the department.
  • Collaborate with the Trade Compliance Manager to discuss import and export issues and provide recommendations.
  • Participate in ongoing training on new regulations concerning import/export and GMP activities.
  • Maintain import/export documentation files and updated PPD-owned metrics indicators reports.

Requirements:

  • Intermediate English and good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid understanding of the clinical supply process, including manufacturing, handling, importing, shipping, exporting, auditing, labeling, and packaging.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to work on issues of a diverse and confidential nature.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail aligned with high standards of quality and excellence.
  • Adaptive to changes and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently with moderate direct supervision.

Working Environment:

  • Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner.
  • Able to work upright and stationary for typical working hours.
  • Ability to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency.
  • Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.
