Job Title: Assistant Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to join our team at Vicinity Centres. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Operations Manager - Infrastructure & Integration in the operational management of our properties and major projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Operations Manager - Infrastructure & Integration in the operational management of our properties and major projects.
  • Assist with reviewing relevant documentation sets and make recommendations to deliver best-in-class outcomes in line with the Chadstone business strategy and project goals.
  • Attend operational project interface meetings and conduct daily safety audit inspections to identify public interface risks.
  • Provide support for the 'Operations Manager - Infrastructure & Integration' and subject matter experts with a view to exceed industry best practice for all health, safety, risk, and security components.
  • Ensure that project interfaces with active centre operations are executed to the highest possible standard every day for retailers, customers, and staff.
  • Assist with the review and acceptance of operational handover documentation and support the administration of the document repository.
  • Closely monitor, manage, and communicate upcoming scheduled works with centre management, retailers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide support for the 'Operations Manager - Infrastructure & Integration' on the defects and project close-out process post-project completion.
Requirements:
  • At least three years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience working in a large team with multiple departments.
  • Preferably have experience leading a small team and can demonstrate leadership qualities.
  • Experience in the health and safety discipline is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of relevant acts, legislation, and standards.
  • Experience in a role in the operations field that includes the management of retail and mixed-use assets and overall responsibility for an outgoings budget.
  • Demonstrate an ability to deliver a schedule of projects on time and budget.
  • Maintain a risk register and appropriate documentation in readiness for H&SE audits.
