Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Manager to join our team in Hobart. As a key member of our Finance Hub team, you will be responsible for providing management accounting services to our clients, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide management accounting services to clients, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Manage the general ledger, including overseeing the monthly balance sheet, banking, and inter-company reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review complex payroll, including overtime, terminations, and redundancies.
  • Prepare and lodge periodic superannuation and payroll tax reporting and payments.
  • Assist clients in preparing financial information and reports for accountants on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Support the client's finance function team and manage the general ledger.
  • Complete the monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Detailed knowledge of GST and payroll tax.
Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete work within established deadlines and maintain a consistent level of professionalism.
  • Can-do attitude and ability to multi-task and thrive in a changing environment requiring flexibility and adjustment.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to work effectively in a busy team environment as well as work independently without supervision.
  • Ability to review and delegate work effectively.
  • Problem-solving abilities and self-motivated, autonomous, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • Experience in the provision of management accounting services and general awareness of financial accounting requirements such as income tax and compliance obligations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • MS Outlook and MS Office Suite (word, excel, etc.)
  • Experience with technologies such as Xero, MYOB, Fathom, Castaway, Spotlight, Approvalmax, Ezzybills, HubDoc would be preferable but not essential.
Qualifications

It would be great if you have obtained certificate qualifications from a recognized TAFE or business college. However, we also recognize experience. If you have had 4+ years' experience working as a bookkeeper, we would love to hear from you. Additionally, if you are about to commence or are mid-way through either the CPA or CA program, we can also support you achieve the qualifications.
