Machine Operator Job

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced machine operator to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various types of machinery, including brakes presses and plasma cutters. They will also be required to perform daily maintenance tasks and record material usage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment such as brake presses and plasma cutters in accordance with specified procedures.
  • Load and unload materials safely onto cutting tables and trucks.
  • Record and document daily material usage.
  • Perform daily general maintenance on equipment and record inspection reports.
  • Monitor consumable usage and report to supervisors for replenishment.
  • Operate travelling jib cranes and overhead cranes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of steel and mechanical handling equipment.
  • Crane drivers' certificate.
  • Knowledge of machine operation and engineering/fabricating drawings.
