Steel Machine Operator

The Role:

Be responsible for operating a range of machinery, including CNC programmed equipment for the production of structural steel. The role will commence on day shifts until training and assessment has been completed. All training provided, but a background in production and steel is desirable.

Your Duties:

  • Operate steel processing machinery
  • Operate CNC Laser equipment
  • Handle and maneuver steel material via forklift
  • Carry out quality control duties to ensure top tier product
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workspace

Working Hours:

Afternoons: 2:00pm - 11pm

Initial training will take place on the day shift until managers have assessed competency. 

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or industry
  • Must hold a valid Forklift licence
  • Previous steel experience highly advantageous
  • Prior experience with CNC machinery is desirable
