Operations Leader

Role Overview:
The Operations Manager is a key position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the University. This includes managing technical services, field sites, laboratories, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Leads the technical team to ensure safe, efficient, effective, and high-quality delivery of teaching, research, and field programs across the state.
- Promotes and maintains a strong Work Health and Safety (WHS) culture.
Key Responsibilities:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing budgets and expenditure across assigned areas.
- Providing high-level technical advice to the TIA Executive Team on strategic planning and progress reporting.
- Collaborating with marketing and communications teams to support community engagement activities while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated knowledge of research, teaching, and operational procedures.
- Able to manage teams with strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated high-level organisational and decision-making skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing safety and risk management procedures.
- Broad understanding of building design, scientific research equipment, and agricultural machinery.
