  • You will own the sales cycle for key federal accounts—building trusted relationships, identifying challenges, and positioning Tableau as the preferred data analytics solution. You'll develop strategic account plans, engage a range of government stakeholders, and collaborate closely with internal teams to exceed revenue targets and deliver lasting impact.">
  • You'll work with agencies across defence, health, social services, and other federal portfolios, helping them transform how they use data to serve the Australian public.">

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Ownership: Lead the full sales cycle for your assigned federal government accounts—from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and close.">
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with BDRs, Solution Engineers, Marketing, Legal, and Customer Success to deliver seamless customer experiences.">
  • Salesforce CRM Excellence: Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline health, and account documentation to support proactive, data-driven decision-making.">
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong, long-term relationships with key federal government stakeholders based in Canberra, gaining a deep understanding of their objectives and constraints.">
  • Territory & Account Planning: Design and execute strategic account plans tailored to the unique structure and needs of the federal public sector.">
  • Solution Selling: Communicate Tableau's value proposition with clarity—showcasing its impact on real-world government data challenges.">
  • Key Skills and Qualifications:">
    • ">
    • A proven track record of success in consultative, solution-based selling, ideally in enterprise software or data analytics.">
    • Experience working with or selling to federal government agencies in Australia is highly desirable.">
    • An understanding of federal public sector priorities—across areas like policy delivery, service modernisation, transparency, and digital transformation.">
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels.">
    • Experience managing complex sales cycles and navigating government procurement environments.">
    • Familiarity with analytics, data visualisation, or business intelligence platforms is a strong plus.">
