Compliance Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role involves undertaking assessment, monitoring and analysis to develop and support compliance responses.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in regulatory compliance and be able to engage effectively with stakeholders. They will also have experience reviewing and assessing complex incidents and ensuring compliance requirements are being met according to legislation.

Coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ideal candidate will have experience preparing sensitive correspondence, reports, briefs and submissions to support compliance action.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Planning and implementing risk-based compliance responses.
  • Mentoring and coaching staff in identifying non-compliance and providing guidance on their duties.
  • Contributing to the planning and monitoring of work processes of the team.
  • Developing productive working relationships with stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Australian citizenship.
  • A security clearance or ability to gain one.
