We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Alcohol and Other Drugs Intake Coordinator to join our team at The Salvation Army. As a key member of our AOD services team, you will play a critical role in providing support and guidance to individuals and families affected by substance abuse.
Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a permanent, full-time position based in Bendigo, Victoria. You will be responsible for conducting initial AOD intake and assessment activities, developing care plans, and providing liaison and support to clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial AOD intake and assessment activities, including assessing client risk and need.
- Develop care plans with clear strategies to monitor and measure outcomes and desired goals.
- Provide liaison and support to clients and their families, including bridging and brief intervention support.
- Identify risks to clients, including Family Violence, and bring them to the attention of the appropriate manager as soon as possible.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or a related discipline.
- A minimum qualification of Diploma Community Services.
- A current Victorian Driver's licence.
- A current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
- Relevant experience in a social service environment.
- An AOD skillset or willingness to undertake within the first 12 months of commencing employment.
- Completed Forensic Fundamentals or obtain it within the first 3 months of employment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PDF.
