Senior Legal Operations Manager

We are seeking a Senior Legal Operations Manager to coordinate and manage the corporate and administrative activities of our General Counsel team.
You will assist in managing operations, business obligations, HR, financial and other knowledge management tasks.
The role involves leading a small team to support legal professionals in a dynamic joint integrated legal practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the General Counsel team.
- Assist in managing operations, business obligations, HR, financial and other knowledge management tasks.
- Lead a small team to support legal professionals.
- Exercise initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures.

We are a diverse and inclusive organisation that provides legal services to Defence, including the Australian Defence Force.
Our legal services cut across broad ranging issues that contribute to the capability of Defence achieving its mission to defend Australia and its national interests.
The General Counsel team advises on a broad range of legal issues that arise across the Defence portfolio.
We are looking for a proactive, agile and professional individual who possesses the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
You will have an eye for detail and accuracy and have good technology skills.
You will be able to work well in a team-based environment, but will also be able to work independently when the need arises.
You will possess the ability to adapt to various tasks and adopt a resourceful and innovative approach to solution-based outcomes.
