The Role

AspenTech is a leading provider of software solutions that optimize process manufacturing for industries such as oil, gas, petroleum, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. With aspenONE integrated solutions, manufacturers can implement best practices for optimizing their engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations, leading to increased capacity, improved margins, reduced costs, and enhanced energy efficiency. The Asset Performance Management (APM) suite supports corporate reliability initiatives, taking an analytics-driven approach to asset availability, extending asset life, and improving effectiveness.

The Industrial Software Solutions Manager is responsible for developing business within an assigned region and upselling consulting services directly to assigned customer accounts. You will work with cross-functional teams to formulate client strategies, manage clients, and bring strategic client opportunities to closure. The ideal candidate will focus on maximizing the value delivered by AspenTech solutions to clients by selling the company's complete software portfolio and implementation services, encompassing world-leading Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain Management solutions.

This role is based in Perth, with a work-from-home arrangement available. Key Responsibilities include:
  • Managing AspenTech's accounts in engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain management software and services within the targeted region in Australia.
  • Managing the sales cycle from lead generation through close, including occasional post-close activities.
  • Ensuring consistent and on-plan revenue delivery through skilled lead identification, qualification, and pipeline management.
  • Developing new revenues and contributing to high levels of prospect and customer satisfaction.
  • Engaging in professional interactions with senior staff members of companies at both corporate and subsidiary levels.

What You'll Need

A successful Industrial Software Solutions Manager must possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering or business, with a Master's preferred. A minimum of 5 years of related process industrial software solution selling experience is required, along with domain knowledge of petrochemical and oil & gas industries. Proven track records of consistent quota attainment or overachievement, successful solution selling to major oil & gas, petrochemical firms, E&C, and Energy Companies, are also essential. Excellent presentation and demonstration skills are necessary for engaging executives and individual contributors in group settings, one-on-one meetings, or phone calls. Ability to comprehend and articulate technical and legal jargon in easily understood terms is crucial. Travel within Australia may be required.
