Job Description

As a temporary governance professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective administration of the organisation, in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.

You will provide advice and support to the Board of Directors, the CEO, and the senior management team on all matters relating to governance, risk, compliance, and legal affairs.

You will also oversee the preparation and distribution of board papers, minutes, agendas, and reports, and coordinate the annual general meeting and other board meetings and events.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in law, governance, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the not-for-profit sector or the aged care industry
  • A sound knowledge of the Corporations Act, the ACNC Act, the Aged Care Act, and other relevant legislation and regulations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
  • A high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach to work
