ICT and Telecommunications Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of ICT network design, with experience in undertaking major project design and quality assurance/peer review. Strong communication skills are essential for providing technical advice on ICT infrastructure, active networks, wireless technology solutions, and supporting projects through various phases.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop ICT network designs for complex projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ICT systems.
  • Develop and maintain high-level drawings, specifications, calculations, schedules, and design reports.
  • Conduct site inspections, witness testing, commissioning, systems integration testing, and on-site Wi-Fi surveys.
  • Pursue cost-benefit analysis, options, and recommendations for ICT solutions.
  • Utilize radio planning software for wireless network modeling.
  • Interface with engineering disciplines to guarantee the ICT network supports their services (AV, Security, Smart Building, Electrical, and Mechanical).
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive work-based experience.
  • RCDD certification or equivalent qualification.
  • DCDC certification or equivalent qualification.
  • Typically 10-15 years' experience.
  • Minimum five years' experience in technology, leading and delivering ICT and Communications projects, stakeholder engagement, and management.
  • Experience in Data Centre design.
  • Complex technology delivery through a construction process.
  • Proficiency in VISIO.
  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi design principles and tools.
