Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Planning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the safe and optimal extraction of gold from underground mining operations.

This is an on-site position and is offered on a residential basis or FIFO from Perth.

About the Role
  • Assist in the preparation of medium- and long-term plans and forecasts
  • Prepare underground design optimisation, level and stope designs, and level extraction notes
  • Ensure mine plans are completed, considering ventilation, infrastructure, and paste fill requirements
  • Prepare the 3-month rolling schedule and report on end-of-month compliance to the plan
  • Assist in briefing production personnel on new stopes being developed and liaise with Supervisors
  • Maintain a medium-term plan in the final design stage, and long-term plan in the preliminary design stage in Deswik
  • Liaise with the Production Engineers for short-term schedule implementation
Requirements
  • Possess a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven underground engineering experience, with exposure to all production phases, preferably gold
  • Experience in mentoring and developing the capability of junior and graduate engineers
  • Previous exposure to Microsoft Office, Deswik CAD experience is an advantage
  • Displayed exposure to Deswik Scheduler and Ventsim is desirable
  • Hold a valid manual driver's licence
