About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Workplace Relations Consultant to join our dynamic team. This newly created role offers an amazing opportunity to build upon your solid knowledge of employment law and provide expert advice to stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical expert advice and guidance on workplace relations and employment relations issues to various stakeholders.
  • Assist in preventing and resolving disputes, grievances, and consultations with employees and unions.
  • Support the HR leader with planning, analysis, and other key aspects of enterprise agreement negotiations.
  • Operationalise enterprise agreements and conduct periodic audits for compliance.
  • Advise and negotiate employment contracts.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative changes and collaborate with the People & Culture team to provide training and ensure compliance.
  • Guide managers on interpreting and classifying positions against agreements and awards.
  • Coach on workplace relations topics, including Right of Entry, Consultation, Facilitative Provisions, Unfair Dismissal, and General Protections.
  • Support complex case management matters and guide managers through these processes.
  • Plan and prepare for attendance at FWC hearings, conciliations, and conferences.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in providing expert workplace relations advice, preferably in a blue-collar industry (or similar).
  • Solid knowledge of the Fair Work Act, NES, and IR system, and experience working across multiple enterprise agreements and awards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a solution-focused approach.
