Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Leading Teacher to join our team at the State Government of Victoria, Australia. As a key member of our education team, you will play a critical role in driving student learning outcomes and contributing to the development of our curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the implementation of whole-school improvement initiatives related to the school strategic plan and school priorities.
  • Develop and implement effective curriculum planning and delivery strategies to support student learning.
  • Provide professional development and coaching to teaching staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Lead and manage staff performance and development, including the review of staff performance.
  • Develop and implement assessment and reporting policies and practices to support student learning.
  • Lead the development of curriculum in a major learning area and participate in curriculum development in other areas.
Requirements
  • Provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development and implementation.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and the broader school community.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
