Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Leading Teacher to join our team at the State Government of Victoria, Australia. As a key member of our education team, you will play a critical role in driving school improvement and enhancing student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Lead the development and implementation of high-quality curriculum programs that meet the needs of our students.
  • Teacher Leadership: Provide guidance and support to teachers to improve their practice and enhance student learning.
  • School Improvement: Collaborate with school leaders to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these.
  • Professional Development: Design and deliver professional development programs to support the growth and development of teachers.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Develop and implement assessment and reporting policies and practices that support student learning and achievement.
  • Student Welfare and Discipline: Lead the development and implementation of policies and practices that promote student welfare and discipline.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and a degree in education or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in teaching and leadership roles, with a strong track record of improving student learning outcomes.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, school leaders, and other stakeholders.
