Senior Communications and Engagement Specialist
This is a key role within the Department for Children and Young People Tasmania, where our ultimate goal is to work together to ensure that every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well, and learning.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Office of Safeguarding Children and Young People in managing communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management associated with the department's implementation of Commission of Inquiry reform and safeguarding of children and young people from harm in schools, libraries, and Child and Family Learning Centres.
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage stakeholders and promote the department's goals and initiatives.
- Provide expert advice on public relations and corporate affairs to support the department's reputation and brand.
- Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered.
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment).
- Pre-employment check including conviction checks and disciplinary actions in previous employment check.
- Qualification and/or experience in internal and external communications and engagement.
