Financial Operations Specialist

About the Role

The successful applicant will be offered a permanent full-time position with a hybrid working arrangement – three days in the office at Milperra and two days from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the projects financial performance and overhead control and prepare contract budgets and re-forecasts
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, sub-ledgers and financial reporting systems
  • Prepare the monthly financials (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) via SAP, including commentary, budgets, forecasts, and periodic risk reporting
  • Deliver and complete an accurate month-end results pack to the Contract Manager with the required level of strategic analysis to determine applicable R&O and mitigation actions
  • Drive continuous improvement in the completion of end-to-end processes, including internal WO management, purchase-to-pay via the Ariba system
  • Prepare claims and invoices in line with contract terms
  • Verify and process timesheets according to rosters

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce or accounting
  • Experience using Ariba and SAP
  • Working toward CPA or CA (preferable)
  • End of month skills
  • Quick learner, enthusiastic and ability to perform work on their own
