About the Role

Ventia is seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our Sydney Airport Rail Link Contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the project's financial performance and prepare contract budgets and re-forecasts.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, sub-ledgers, and financial reporting systems.
  • Prepare monthly financials (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) via SAP, including commentary, budgets, forecasts, and periodic risk reporting.
  • Deliver and complete an accurate month-end results pack to the Contract Manager with the required level of strategic analysis to determine applicable R&O and mitigation actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the completion of end-to-end processes, including internal WO management, purchase-to-pay via the Ariba system.
  • Prepare claims and invoices in line with contract terms.
  • Verify and process timesheets according to rosters.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce or accounting.
  • Experience using Ariba and SAP.
  • Working toward CPA or CA (preferable).
  • End of month skills.
  • Quick learner, enthusiastic, and ability to perform work on their own.
