Job Title: Cyber Security Expert

Job Summary

This is a key position within our organization, responsible for the development and execution of programs to enhance cyber security maturity and capability uplift across Australia's energy sector.

About the Role

The Cyber Security Expert will support the coordination with government authorities and industry participants on effective response to cyber security incidents. They will also be involved in enhancing frameworks used to inform cyber security maturity uplift across grids and markets.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the energy sector, supporting critical infrastructure resilience and cyber security initiatives. They will possess strong analysis and communication skills, as well as knowledge of security control and maturity frameworks relevant to the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating with government authorities and industry participants on effective response to cyber security incidents
  • Enhancing frameworks used to inform cyber security maturity uplift across grids and markets
  • Maintaining contacts and engaging with stakeholders across government, industry, and academia

The successful candidate will be able to apply their knowledge to optimize sector level responses to cyber threats and their management. They will also be responsible for maintaining AEMO cyber security standards applying to market participants.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in the energy sector supporting critical infrastructure resilience and cyber security initiatives
  • Strong analysis and communication skills
  • Knowledge of security control and maturity frameworks relevant to the energy sector
