Cyber Security Role

Help shape the security of the state's digital assets as a Cyber Security Analyst in our team. You will be part of a proactive cyber security posture and support the Department's cyber resilience.

About the Role

This role is critical to protecting the Department's digital systems and information. As our Cyber Security Analyst, you will contribute to improving cyber incident readiness and awareness, participate in simulation exercises, and collaborate across teams and agencies to secure systems and information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Department's cyber security capability through security monitoring, triaging and escalating cyber events and incidents, and vulnerability management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Security Operations: Experience in cyber monitoring, incident response, and use of tools like EDR, SIEM, and network traffic analysis platforms.
  • Vulnerability Management: Proven capability in identifying, assessing, and managing cyber vulnerabilities.
  • Cyber Security Awareness: Ability to deliver training, run simulation exercises, and raise security awareness across diverse audiences.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal teams, partner agencies, and external vendors.
  • Policy & Compliance: Knowledge of relevant cyber frameworks and ability to ensure compliance with policies.
  • Communication & Reporting: Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare accurate, timely reports for executive audiences.
