Electrical Infrastructure Coordinator

The Maxwell Underground Mine is currently undertaking a significant project to construct an underground coal mine with production plans of up to 8 million tonnes per annum.

About The Role

This role is a key part of our site-based engineering team and will provide technical support as the lead for electrical equipment and infrastructure at the outbye section of the mine.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement of mine infrastructure including conveyor systems, ventilation fans, diesel equipment, underground infrastructure, pumping equipment, compressed air system equipment, and leading the site readiness for operations.
  • They will also develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the outbye equipment.
  • Additionally, they will manage electrical safety and compliance requirements, act as technical lead for the outbye equipment and infrastructure, identify opportunities for improvement, and coordinate the electrical resources to achieve operational targets.

Required Skills And Qualifications:

  • Electrical engineering qualification or currently undertaking, accompanied by an Electrical Trade Certificate.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in underground coal mines.
  • Detailed knowledge of longwall technical and operational practices.
  • Strong technical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
