Legislative Support Manager

About the Role

These roles will play a critical part in supporting the National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator (NOPTA) in its day-to-day administration of petroleum and greenhouse gas titles in Commonwealth waters in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Legislative Support Team and Regulatory Support Team
  • Provide expert advice on established legislative and policy frameworks
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes, and facilitate cooperation
  • Develop and deliver training on legislative matters
  • Manage the coordination of NOPTA's input to DISR's policy work on OPGGS Act related matters
  • Develop papers, submissions, and reports on titles administration legislative matters

Requirements

  • Experience working within and providing expert advice on established legislative and policy frameworks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Proven experience in creating productive and collaborative relationships
  • Leadership skills, with experience in building a positive team and workplace culture
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (or commensurate qualifications/experience)
