Job Opportunity
\Bridge IT Engineering is seeking a Lead Service Designer for a federal government department. The role will address a critical gap in understanding the end-to-end service and identifying opportunities for improving the way the Australian Government designs and delivers services and programs through digital and non-digital solutions.
\The successful candidate will have experience in developing and implementing Service Design concepts and structures, with a suitable approach to delivering services requested by the Department's goals. They should also have experience with engagement, collaboration, and planning functions across aged care and/or healthcare sectors.
\Key responsibilities include:

- Developing a business model and roadmap for implementing an Integrated Service Design function, as well as a capability maturity plan that focuses on knowledge transfer and upskilling staff working within streams.\
- Documenting detailed Blueprints of the Digital Health service offerings.\
- Establishing effective governance to act as a design authority to provide quality assurance, planning and prioritisation checks and strategic alignment.\
- Operating a Service Design 'Centre of Excellence' for the Digital and Service Design Branch, to ensure consistency, transparency, and alignment.\
- Understanding the research activities underway across the broader department and performing User Experience and Service Design functions for projects as required.\
- Demonstrated value for money in comparison to market.\
- Experience in the relevant sector.\
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.\
- Ability to work at a senior level.\
- Proven track record of delivering results in a similar role.\
- Knowledge of the Australian Government's service design and delivery process.\
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.\
- Good written and verbal communication skills.\
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.\
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.\
- Valid Australian driver's license.\
- Australian citizenship.\
- Baseline clearance.\
- 6 months initial contract up to 12 months potential extension.\
- Location: ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA.\
