Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the Technical Services group, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that projects are aligned with the Council's strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure that the Council's interests are represented and protected.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a local government or related industry.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data.
